Born in 1990, he started his musical studies as a cellist and graduated at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold (Germany) after studying with Eulàlia Subirà, Lluís Claret, María de Macedo and Xenia Jankovic. In this artistic discipline he was awarded international prizes, as the Pau Casals Scholarship. In 2013 he was accepted in the same university to start his singing studies and later  graduated suma cum laude from the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona under the mentorship of Dolors Aldea. He has attended master classes with Dalton Baldwin, Matthias Goerne, Thomas Hampson, Wolfgang Rieger and Furio Zanasi. 

Albrich has been awarded prizes in several singing competitions, like the Palet Contest (Martorell, 2018), the Permanent Contest of the Juventudes Musicales de España (2019) or the International Logroño Contest (2023), and has been a finalist in the Cavalli-Monteverdi Contest (2023). After taking part in the Primer Palau Contest (2019) and specially in the program Lied the future at the Schubertíada in Vilabertran, he has started a promising career as a lyrical artist that has already earned him a lot of recognition.

From 2019 on, Ferran Albrich has collaborated with orchestras like the Sinfónica de Castilla y León, the Príncipe de Asturias Orchestra (Oviedo), the Simfònica del Vallès, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao, the Orquesta RTVE o historically informed ensembles such as La Ritirata or Cremona Antiqua, and has performed in venues like the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Auditori (Barcelona), the Teatro Calderón (Valladolid), the Auditorio Príncipe de Asturias (Oviedo) or the Teatro Arriaga (Bilbao) under the baton of maestros like Carlos Mena, Miguel Romea, Manel Valdivieso, Andrés Salado or Xavier Puig. 

His repertoire spans a wide range of styles, including oratorios by J.S. Bach (Magnificat, St. Matthew Passion or St. John Passion), Messiah by Händel, the Requiem and the Great Mass is C minor by W.A. Mozart, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the Requiem by J. Brahms and G. Fauré. In the field of the symphonic lied, he has sung Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen and Knabenwunderhorn, by Mahler, or Don Quichotte à Dulcinée, by Ravel. In the realm of opera, he has excelled as Testo in Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda, by Monteverdi, or Lucifero in Il Primo Omicidio, by Scarlatti. Finally, in the genre of art song, he has performed outstanding works from the German lieder repertoire and French melodie, premiering also works by Catalan composers such as Brotons, Guinovart or Domènech.

The upcoming season will bring him to debut in stages and festibals such as the SMR Cuenca, Teatro Monumental de Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu or Festival la Pedra Parla.
